I am Ewan Milroy, a Brisbane-based IT consultant. I have spent more than 15 years keeping growing businesses secure and running, across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, cybersecurity and modern workplace technologies.
Why I started Ewan Me IT
My background is enterprise Microsoft endpoint and Microsoft 365 work. The protections large organisations rely on, like MFA, managed laptops and email protected against spoofing, matter just as much to a business of ten people. I started Ewan Me IT to bring that standard to smaller businesses, sized for them, without the enterprise bloat or the call centre.
I work with Brisbane and South East Queensland businesses of roughly 5 to 40 staff on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, with no internal IT lead, who want someone who understands their whole environment rather than a call centre that starts from scratch every time.
How I run it, and why
These stay the same for every client.
- One person, by design.
- Ewan Me IT is a one-person business on purpose. There is no account-manager layer, no overseas helpdesk and no repeating the problem to different technicians. When something breaks you deal with the person who knows your setup and is responsible for the outcome.
- A cap on client numbers.
- I cap the number of managed clients I take on so that every one of them gets the response I publish. When I am at capacity I say so and keep a waitlist rather than letting service slip.
- Plain English.
- Reports are written for owners, not IT departments. You can see what was done and what is outstanding without needing an IT department to translate.
- Published targets, not promises.
- Response targets are published with the exclusions written down next to them, and the baseline every managed client runs on is public as The Standard. Boundaries are agreed at sales and onboarding, never discovered on an invoice.
